TakeRoom Privacy Policy

What TakeRoom captures
The TakeRoom Capture browser extension records AI video generations you run on supported platforms (currently Runway, at app.runwayml.com). For each generation it captures: the prompt, seed, model and settings, the raw request and response payloads, and the generated video file. Capture happens only on the sites listed in the extension’s permissions, and only once the extension is activated against your TakeRoom account.
Where your data is stored
Captured data is stored in your private TakeRoom account: metadata in TakeRoom’s database and video files in private object storage. Every record is bound to your account, and the API enforces account isolation on every request: no other user can access your takes, videos, or metadata. TakeRoom does not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.
Authentication
You sign in to takeroom.io via Clerk. The extension authenticates uploads with a capture key created for your account and stored locally in your browser. The key is never displayed and only a hash of it is stored server-side.
What TakeRoom does not collect
Browsing activity on any site not listed in the extension’s permissions; anything while the extension is disabled or uninstalled; passwords or payment details.
Retention and deletion
Your captured data is retained until you request deletion. To delete specific captures or your entire account and all associated data, email amarks@edgevance.io from the address associated with your account.
